Celebrate in one of our extraordinary historical spaces. The Johnson House provides community, non-profit, corporate, and personal usage of all site grounds, including our beautiful and scenic outdoor garden. We are conveniently located in Germantown, Philadelphia, directly across the street from public transportation and less than ten minutes from Interstate 76. Our amenities include:

  • A full-service kitchen
  • Convenient street parking

We can provide recommendations for obtaining additional event rental equipment and catering services.

Parlor

The Parlor, located inside of the Johnson House at the entrance, provides grandiose appeal.

Office 

The Library, located inside of the Johnson House across from the Parlor, provides exceptional natural lighting to enhance any event.

  • Reception Capacity: 15 Guests
  • Seated Capacity: 12 Guests 

Dining Room

The Dining Room, located inside of the Johnson House near the kitchen, is the most inviting and homey of all our spaces.

  • A Beautiful Fireplace (Not available for usage)
  • Reception Capacity: 12 Guests
  • Seated Capacity: 8 Guests 

Kitchen   

The Johnson House Historic Site kitchen is available as a supporting space for approved events and rentals. This area is best suited for light food preparation, catering support, and service coordination rather than full-scale cooking. Use of the kitchen must comply with all site guidelines and preservation standards, and is available only in conjunction with other rental spaces. All food service activities must be pre-approved and supervised to ensure the protection of this historic property.

   

Garden  

The Garden is a comfortable, welcoming green space.

Building Use Agreement (Required)

All individuals and organizations interested in renting space at the Johnson House Historic Site are required to review and complete a Building Use Agreement prior to confirmation of any event or rental request.

The Use Agreement outlines rental rates, space availability, insurance requirements, supervision policies, site rules, payment schedules, and responsibilities related to the care and preservation of this National Historic Landmark. Submission of the completed agreement, along with the required deposit and supporting documentation, is necessary to secure your requested date and space.

Please note: rental requests are subject to review and approval by Johnson House Historic Site, Inc., and completion of the Use Agreement does not guarantee availability.
